Yahya Cholil Staquf: Global Civilization Really Hopes for Indonesia, since Nahdlatul Ulama’s Existence

 

Many countries in the world and groups of them are currently trapped in conditions of ongoing conflict, complex interrelated conflicts between religious, economic and political, thus encouraging war between people. Indonesia is the only major country that survived the horizontal conflict, as affirmed by Katib Am Syuriyah, General Secretary of Steering of Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama KH Yahya Cholil Staquf.

"The muslim countries from Africa such as Marocco, Libya, till Bangladesh are going to failed countries. Alhamdulillah, Indonesia the only one country that is saved. That's why at this time, the world looks forward to Indonesia regarding the solution how to solve their problems. It’s caused Indonesia has Nahdlatul Ulama," he said during a speech at the Nahdlatul Ulama Millennial workshop at Head Office of Nahdlatul Ulama in Jakarta, Thursday (11/29) .

Gus Yahya, his warm nickname, continued, "Head of Operation of Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama, KH Said Aqil Siroj one of The World’s 50 Influential Muslims, ran out of time serving Leaders from all over the world who asked about how to deal with their civilization problem."

"The Middle East does not have its own helping capacity. It all leads to social failure and the collapse of civilization, if Indonesia cannot survive, global humanity would lose hope at all," Yahya explained.

Gus Yahya, as one of The Leader of Nahdlatul Ulama who also choosed as one of The World’s 500 Most Influental Muslims in 2018, committed to join in the striving of global civiliation based on Islam as a religion that bring rahmat to the entire universe.

NU Millennials workshop is an event that Nahdlatul Ulama’s preparation for it’s one century dedication, this event will be conducted national wide by cascading per province in Indonesia.
